About Us

HTCS is currently owned by Victoria Priganc, Ph.D., OTR, CHT, CLT. In addition to running HTCS, Victoria serves as adjunct faculty, teaching in the Occupational Therapy Programs at Nova Southeastern University and at the University of New Hampshire (UNH).

In addition to teaching at the universities, Victoria has taught numerous conferences nationally, as prior to purchasing HTCS, she had been on its faculty since 1998. She has also taught a conference in Honduras, was an invited speaker for the International Federation of Societies for Hand Therapy (IFSHT) meeting in Australia in March, 2007, spoke at the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT) 2008 annual meeting, and is invited faculty for the 2010 Philadelphia Hand meeting. She has been an OT for 15 years and a CHT for 10 years.

Professional service:

Victoria serves as the Practice Forum Editor for the Journal of Hand Therapy (JHT) and is a member of the JHT editorial board. She is a current Active Member of the American Society of Hand Therapists and has assisted with the ASHT research committee for several years. She is also serving as the scientific and poster committee co-chair for the 2010 IFSHT meeting in Orlando, FL.
 
In the past, she has traveled with various medical teams to Honduras to provide free medical care to local patients and to educate the local therapists on hand trauma treatment techniques.

Education:

Victoria received her Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, her M.S. in Movement Science and Rehabilitation from the University of Vermont, and her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
